April Snow- My Early Morning Shock

Waking up and seeing that it's snowing heavily outside is certainly not the ideal way for me to start an April day.

The latter part of the month of April is supposed to be characterized by a pleasant spring weather in the area where I live. It should be the ideal time for going out in the hills and forests situated in the proximity of my town and enjoying the mildly warm sun and the revival of nature before the hot summer months make such a desired experience less pleasant in the middle of the day. At least that's how I thought the last part of the month of April would be, but unfortunately, reality has proven to be a whole different

compared to my expectations.

After several dark, rainy, truly sad days with temperatures below the average for this period I had realized that this would certainly not be the greatest month of April I had lived. After a pleasant and sunny March which seemed to announce a beautiful spring, things started to go from bad to worse, but I kept hoping that the weather would eventually improve and I would be able to enjoy a few genuine spring days. The last thing I expected to see this April was snow. After several harsh months in which there were a few massive snowfalls followed by a snowless March, I had taken the winter out of my mind, thinking that I would not have to use the word "snow" again for several months, but when I woke up this morning I had a truly nasty surprise when looking outside.

The green, lush landscape I could admire from the comfort of my balcony had all of a sudden turned white, and it was snowing quite heavily. A couple of days ago, when I had last remembered to check the weather for the upcoming period on a smartphone app, it didn't foretell that the snow would come, and that app had so far proven to be quite reliable. so you can imagine my shock when

I saw that it was snowing on and on and it looks like it will go on like this all day long.

If there is one good thing I could think of when I looked out of the window earlier this morning, it was the fact that the views were getting much better compared to the ones of the previous rainy days, so it was worth taking a few photos that we would normally take in a month like January. Most children probably enjoy this meteorological surprise as well, and the child in me would also like to go out with a sledge and have fun in the snow, but the adult in me hates it. It looks like the weather, just like the world itself, has gone completely mad, but mad or not, we have no other choice but to adapt to it, absorb its shocking twists and turns and get used to the idea that we have to expect the unexpected when it comes to climate change.

Several hours have passed and it keeps snowing. My thermal plasma is on, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere in a day in which staying inside sounds like the wise thing to do, but I have to leave the house and take some fresh, cold air, so the winter clothes are out of the wardrobe; it's time to get out and face the snow! The weather has offered me a nasty surprise this morning, but it certainly won't be the last one as the climate is getting and more unpredictable, so we have to get used to the thought that such shifts can take place at any time and go on with our lives. Sunny days will come for sure, it is just a slight delay of several weeks until they show up!

Yes, mother earth can surprise us at any moment; sometimes those surprises aren't pleasant, but we have to deal with them!

Yes, we must enjoy nature's magic and learn from it even when its tricks don't work in our favour.
